Dr Anke Nguyen

Anke Nguyen is a Gastroenterologist and Endoscopist with an interest in bowel cancer screening and bowel disorders. She performs gastroscopies and colonoscopies on a weekly basis. Anke completed her medical degree at Deakin University. She underwent specialist gastroenterology training at Launceston General Hospital, Royal Melbourne Hospital, and Monash Health. Anke then undertook further subspecialty training by completing a 1.5 year fellowship at Charité Universitätsmedizin - Berlin in Germany and was subsequently awarded a PhD in inflammatory bowel disease by Monash University. Anke has presented her research at national and international conferences. Anke is also skilled in performing intestinal ultrasound and is certified to train other gastroenterologists and junior trainees. 

Anke welcomes all gastroenteroloy referrals, including iron deficiency, rectal bleeding, altered bowel habits (diarrhoea/constipation), reflux symptoms, inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn's disease and ulceratice colitis), irritable bowel syndrome and liver disorders.
