Anke Nguyen is a Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist who completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery at Deakin University in 2012. She underwent specialist training at Launceston General Hospital, Royal Melbourne Hospital, and Monash Health. She is currently completing her PhD in inflammatory bowel disease at Monash University and recently returned from an overseas 1.5 year research fellowship at Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin in Germany. She has presented her research at national and international conferences. Anke is passionate about performing intestinal ultrasound, a non-invasive method of diagnosing inflammation in the bowel, and was trained in Berlin and at Alfred Health. Anke has a special interest in inflammatory bowel disease and performing endoscopy. She also has extensive experience in managing other gastrointestinal disorders including irritable bowel syndrome, coeliac disease, iron deficiency, gastroesophageal reflux disease and liver disease.
