Dr Andrew Merry

Dr Andrew Merry is a dedicated Clinical Immunologist and Allergist who provides comprehensive and empathetic care to patients dealing with complex immunological and allergic conditions. Understanding firsthand the challenges, anxiety, and fatigue that often accompany these chronic disorders, Dr Merry is committed to delivering personalised, patient-focused care. Dr Merry completed his medical degree at James Cook University, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 2007. He subsequently undertook extensive postgraduate training, completing his Advanced Physician Training in immunology and allergy across several prominent tertiary hospitals. Dr Merry is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP), specialising in Clinical Immunology and Allergy, which reflects his high standard of clinical expertise and dedication to his field.

In his clinical practice, Dr Merry manages a broad spectrum of allergic and immunologic disorders. His areas of clinical interest include autoimmune diseases, vasculitis, severe eczema, and urticaria and angioedema. He is highly skilled in diagnosing and managing food, environmental, insect, and drug allergies, as well as administering allergen immunotherapy (desensitisation) and prescribing adrenaline auto-injectors.
