Dr. Amanda Abel is a highly dedicated Paediatric Psychologist who is passionate about helping children, adolescents, and their families thrive. With a warm, reassuring, and collaborative approach, she focuses on equipping families, teachers, and clinicians with the practical tools needed to support children in reaching their full potential. Dr. Abel understands the unique challenges of modern parenting and works closely with families to build confidence, foster meaningful connections, and navigate developmental milestones in a supportive environment.

In her clinical practice, Dr. Abel provides comprehensive support across a wide range of developmental and behavioural areas. She is highly experienced in conducting diagnostic assessments for autism spectrum disorder and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, ensuring a streamlined and compassionate process for families. Additionally, she is a registered Sequential Oral Sensory Feeding Therapist, offering specialised intervention for children experiencing feeding difficulties. Her therapeutic work also encompasses child and adolescent counselling, school refusal management, and the implementation of evidence-based parenting programmes.

Dr. Abel completed her academic training with a Bachelor of Social Science and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Psychology with Honours. She is a full Member of the Australian Psychological Society and serves as a valued Board Member of the Autism Behavioural Intervention Association. Committed to professional excellence, she is also a registered Circle of Security Parenting Facilitator and has contributed her expertise as an Advisory Board Member for a global child-focussed media organisation, helping to ensure appropriate content standards for children.
