Dr Alison Parker

Dr Alison Parker is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner based in Kiama, Australia. With a patient-centred approach, she provides comprehensive healthcare services to individuals and families across all stages of life. Dr Parker is committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based medical care, ensuring that her patients feel supported, heard, and reassured during their consultations. Her broad clinical expertise allows her to address a wide range of acute and chronic health conditions with professionalism and empathy.

Dr Parker began her academic journey at the Australian National University, where she completed a Bachelor of Science with a major in Psychology in 1999. She subsequently earned a Master of Clinical Audiology from Macquarie University and worked as an Audiologist at a prominent cochlear implant centre. Pursuing her passion for medicine, she obtained her medical degree from the University of Sydney in 2008. She completed her internship and residency at major metropolitan hospitals before relocating to Kiama in 2011 to undertake specialist General Practice training. Dr Parker was awarded her Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2013.

In her clinical practice, Dr Parker has developed strong areas of interest in Women's Health, Paediatrics, and Adolescent Health. She is highly skilled in providing comprehensive pregnancy care, including pre-conception advice, fertility guidance, and antenatal shared care. Beyond her clinic work, she is deeply involved in the local community, regularly providing dedicated medical care to elderly residents at local aged care facilities. Dr Parker is also passionate about medical education and actively contributes to the profession by teaching and training the next generation of General Practitioners as a supervisor for GP Registrars.
