Dr Alison Hanks

Dr Alison Hanks is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who provides comprehensive care across all aspects of family medicine. With a reassuring and patient-centred approach, she is committed to supporting individuals and families through every stage of life. Dr Hanks has a particular passion for helping families navigate the early years of parenthood, offering gentle, evidence-based guidance to help parents feel confident and supported in caring for their infants and young children.

Her clinical interests are diverse, with a strong focus on child health, women's health, and family planning. Dr Hanks has pursued extensive additional training to offer specialised support in lactation medicine, infant feeding, and paediatric sleep and settling. Furthermore, she possesses a deep interest in allergic diseases, helping patients of all ages identify and manage complex allergic conditions. Her practice also encompasses preventative care and chronic disease management, ensuring a holistic approach to long-term health and well-being.

Dr Hanks completed her Bachelor of Science at the University of Sydney before earning her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery with First Class Honours from the University of Queensland, qualifying in 2013. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. Demonstrating her commitment to specialised care, she is a qualified International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant and holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Allergy from Imperial College London. Additionally, she has completed the Sydney Child Health Programme and is accredited in Neuroprotective Developmental Care.
