Mrs Alice Forsyth

Mrs Alice Forsyth is a highly dedicated Optometrist who specialises in behavioural optometry and paediatric vision care. With a compassionate and patient-centred approach, she focuses on helping patients of all ages achieve optimal visual performance. Her clinical interests extend beyond standard eye examinations to encompass complex visual challenges, including myopia control, eye turns, lazy eyes, and assisting adults in managing the visual impacts of modern-day stress. She is particularly passionate about understanding how the visual system interacts with movement and learning, allowing her to provide tailored care that addresses the root causes of visual difficulties.

In addition to general eye care, Mrs Forsyth possesses advanced training in neuro-optometry, ocular pathology, and the management of traumatic brain injuries. She provides specialised support for patients experiencing visual symptoms related to concussions, vertigo, dizziness, and visual snow. Her therapeutic capabilities are further enhanced by her qualification to prescribe ocular therapeutic medications, enabling her to manage conditions such as glaucoma, dry eye syndrome, and diabetic eye complications. Mrs Forsyth completed her Bachelor of Optometry at the University of New South Wales, graduating in 1985. She furthered her academic credentials by earning a Doctor of Optometry from the State University of New York College of Optometry in the United States. Her qualifications are recognised by the Optometry Council of Australia and New Zealand, where she completed her competency examinations in ocular therapeutics. Demonstrating a strong commitment to professional excellence and ongoing education, Mrs Forsyth is a longstanding member of the Australasian College of Behavioural Optometrists.
