Before embarking on his medical career, Dr Raza pursued advanced studies in engineering, earning a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania. He then transitioned to medicine, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery with Honours from the University of Sydney in 2008. He completed his medical school training and subsequent internship and residency at major teaching hospitals in Sydney. Dr Raza is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, reflecting his high standards of clinical practice and ongoing commitment to professional development.
