Dr. Alessandro Comella

Dr. Alessandro Comella is a consultant Cardiologist and Cardiac Imaging Specialist. They are interested in all fields of Cardiology, with special interests in critical care, heart failure and cardiac imaging.

Dr. Comella graduated from Universita' Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Rome (Italy) with a Medical and Surgery Degree with honours. They completed their Cardiological Training at the same University and had a long career in Italy before moving to Australia. Dr. Comella also completed a 1-year post-graduate Master Degree in Critical Care at the Universita' di Firenze (Italy) acquiring experience in the treatment of advanced heart failure patients.

Dr. Comella has a special interest in cardiac imaging and recently completed in Australia a 1-year Fellowship in non-invasive cardiac diagnostics and CTCA. They have presented at national and international conferences and have multiple publications. Dr. Comella also has experience in health issues of remote and rural areas of Australia, having served for 1 year as Outreach Fellow in Northern Territory.
