Dr Alan Nazha

Dr Alan Nazha is a highly accomplished and dual-qualified Specialist Pain Management Physician and Anaesthetist. He is dedicated to providing comprehensive, compassionate, and personalised care to patients experiencing persistent and complex pain conditions. Adopting a holistic, multidisciplinary approach, Dr Nazha focuses on restoring function and improving the overall quality of life for his patients. He works collaboratively with a diverse team of Allied Health Professionals, including Psychologists and Physiotherapists, to design tailored management plans that address the physical, psychological, and social aspects of chronic pain.

Dr Nazha obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and completed his specialist anaesthetic training in 2011, qualifying as a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists. He subsequently undertook advanced subspecialty training in Pain Medicine across several leading tertiary referral centres. Dr Nazha achieved outstanding results in his pain medicine fellowship examinations, earning a merit listing and his Fellowship of the Faculty of Pain Medicine, Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists. He has further expanded his credentials by obtaining a Fellowship in Interventional Pain Practice and a Certified Interventional Pain Sonologist qualification from the World Institute of Pain, alongside board certification in Headache Medicine. Dr Nazha is a Board Director of the Neuromodulation Society of Australia and New Zealand and maintains active memberships with the International Neuromodulation Society, the International Association for the Study of Pain, and the American Society of Pain and Neuroscience.

With a strong clinical interest in minimally invasive and interventional therapies, Dr Nazha specialises in managing challenging conditions such as spinal pain, neuropathic pain, persistent post-surgical pain, and Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. He is also highly skilled in treating cranio-orofacial, head, neck, and facial pain. To ensure the highest level of precision and safety, Dr Nazha utilises advanced imaging modalities, including ultrasound, CT guidance, fluoroscopy, and microendoscopy, to deliver targeted treatments. His therapeutic repertoire ranges from advanced neuromodulation techniques, such as spinal cord and peripheral nerve stimulation, to radiofrequency procedures and comprehensive medication management.
