Dr Ailie Connell

Dr Ailie Connell is a highly qualified and dedicated Endocrinologist and Clinical Pathologist who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a dual focus on endocrinology and chemical pathology, she specialises in diagnosing and managing a wide range of disorders affecting the endocrine system. Her clinical approach is deeply rooted in empathy and open communication, ensuring that each patient receives a personalised treatment plan tailored to their unique health needs.

Dr Connell has a diverse range of clinical interests, with particular expertise in diabetes care, obstetric endocrinology, and perioperative endocrinology. She is also highly committed to transgender health, providing supportive and evidence-based hormone management. Her broad expertise extends to the diagnosis and treatment of thyroid disorders, adrenal gland disorders, pituitary gland disorders, and reproductive hormone imbalances. By combining her clinical pathology background with her endocrine practice, she is able to offer precise diagnostic insights and highly effective management strategies.

Dr Connell completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) alongside a Bachelor of Medical Science (B Med Sci) at the University of Melbourne, qualifying in 2004. She subsequently undertook extensive dual training in Chemical Pathology and Endocrinology across New South Wales, Victoria, the Northern Territory, and Tasmania. In 2014, she achieved dual fellowships, becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) in the Adult Medicine Division and a Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (RCPA). To ensure her patients benefit from the latest medical advancements, she maintains active memberships with the Australian Diabetes Society and the Endocrine Society of Australia.
