Dr Adrian Praeger

Dr Adrian Praeger is a Consultant Neurosurgeon based in Melbourne, Australia, with specialist expertise in the surgical management of cranial and spinal conditions. His clinical practice covers the treatment of gliomas and other cranial tumours, including meningiomas, metastatic brain tumours and vestibular schwannomas, as well as trigeminal neuralgia and a broad range of spinal disorders, including spinal tumours and degenerative spinal conditions.

Dr Praeger graduated with a medical degree from the University of Melbourne in 2006 before completing comprehensive neurosurgical training across leading centres in Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra and Bonn, Germany. He was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in Neurosurgery in 2020 and has practised at Monash Health since that time.

Dr Praeger maintains an active role in research and medical education. He is involved in the training of neurosurgical registrars and has published peer-reviewed research in the fields of trigeminal neuralgia, spinal surgery and cranial tumours. He also serves as a reviewer for leading international neurosurgical journals, contributing to the evaluation and dissemination of current research within the specialty.

Dr Praeger is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and holds memberships with several professional organisations, including the Neurosurgical Society of Australasia, Australian Medical Association, European Association of Neurosurgical Societies, American Association of Neurological Surgeons, AO Spine, and the North American Spine Society.
