Dr Abigail Alaia

Dr Abigail Alaia is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner who provides comprehensive, patient-centred care. With a strong foundation in general medicine, Dr Alaia is committed to supporting patients through all stages of life. Her clinical approach is characterised by a reassuring and professional manner, ensuring that individuals feel heard and supported during their consultations. She has developed a diverse practice with a focus on delivering high-quality healthcare tailored to the unique needs of each patient.

Dr Alaia began her academic journey by completing a Bachelor of Biomedical Science, followed by a Master of Science in Genetic Counselling. She then pursued her medical training, completing her medical degree at a university on the Gold Coast. Dr Alaia gained valuable clinical experience working at a major hospital on the Gold Coast and spent a significant portion of her training in rural and remote Queensland, where her passion for community-based medicine was established. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP), reflecting her commitment to maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence.

Throughout her career, Dr Alaia has developed key clinical interests in women's health, children's health, and teenage mental health. She has also actively participated in community health initiatives, including dedicated school-based health programmes. In addition to her work as a General Practitioner, Dr Alaia is a trained Cosmetic Injector, allowing her to offer specialised aesthetic treatments. Her broad range of skills enables her to address both the physical and emotional well-being of her patients, providing holistic care in a welcoming environment.
