North Eastern Community Hospital

North Eastern Community Hospital is a not-for-profit, community-based organisation located in Campbelltown, a north-eastern suburb of Adelaide, South Australia. Established in 1973, the hospital was founded through the initiative of local medical practitioners and councils to provide health and aged care services for the local community. As a community-owned entity, any surplus funds are reinvested into the complex to continually improve its services, facilities, and equipment for the benefit of patients and residents.

The hospital provides a modern 60-bed facility, which includes private room accommodation, two operating theatres, and an eight-bed day surgery unit. It also features two dedicated gastroenterology procedure rooms. In addition to its acute care services, the organisation operates an 84-bed Residential Aged Care Facility, which is designed to deliver contemporary, high-quality care in a purpose-built environment. The facility is committed to supporting residents to live with dignity and independence.

The North Eastern Community Hospital offers a broad range of specialist services. These include general surgery, orthopaedics, laparoscopic surgery, gynaecology, gastroenterology, vascular surgery, and ophthalmology. The hospital also provides a day surgery unit for patients requiring only a short stay, alongside pathology and radiology services. The governance of the organisation is overseen by a Board of Management, which consists of voluntary medical professionals and elected community representatives.
