Dr. Naveen Agarwal

Dr Naveen Agarwal is a General and Laparoscopic Surgeon based in Adelaide with over 15 years of clinical experience. He is a Consultant Surgeon in Lyell McEwin and Modbury Hospital. After qualifying with an MBBS from the Armed Forces Medical College in India in 2004, he pursued extensive postgraduate training, including a Master of Surgery and specialised fellowships in Upper GI and Acute General Surgery in Adelaide. He achieved Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in 2021 and is GESA-accredited for both adult gastroscopy and colonoscopy.

Dr Agarwal is known for his technical proficiency in minimally invasive surgery, with a dedicated focus on complex abdominal conditions. His fellowship training has provided particular expertise in advanced laparoscopic hernia repair and upper gastrointestinal procedures, including anti-reflux surgery, alongside the management of acute and general surgical conditions.

Beyond his clinical practice, Dr Agarwal is deeply involved in medical education and surgical research. He is a Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Adelaide, contributing to undergraduate and postgraduate surgical education, while his earlier academic career in India included an Assistant Professor role at a medical college, where he was involved in teaching and research.
