Aim Research

Aim Research is a private specialist medical centre affiliated with the Hunter Diabetes Centre in Merewether. The centre is led by Specialist Endocrinologist Dr Claire Morbey, who’s team includes Certified Clinical Research Coordinator Louretta Dwyer, Registered Nurse and Diabetes Educator Annette Parkes Considine, a Dietitian, a Psychologist, and dedicated administrative support staff. All staff members are extensively trained in Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and International Air Transport Association (IATA) standards.

Aim Research has conducted over 10 clinical trials. Their facility complies with the International Conference on Harmonisation of Good Clinical Practice (ICH-GCP) guidelines, with calibrated equipment and a secure, restricted access area for the storage of study products and confidential participant records. Additionally, the centre has an onsite pharmacy for added convenience.

Aim Research specialises in discovering innovative technologies and potential treatments through clinical trials. The team has expertise in a wide range of areas, including: type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes, obesity, other endocrine conditions, influenza vaccines and arthritis. The centre is currently running a three-year study on type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease. Aim Research’s success can be attributed to the team’s commitment and determination to advance therapies for the future.
