Dr Ushank Ranasinghe

Dr. Ushank Ranasinghe is a specialist in Endocrinology and Acute and General Care Medicine. He has a diverse medical background and is dedicated to providing patient-centred care through a holistic approach.

Dr. Ranasinghe earned his medical degree from the University of Manchester, UK, in 2011. He completed his physician training at the John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle and the Royal Darwin Hospital, obtaining dual fellowships with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP).

His commitment to advancing medical knowledge is evident through his research contributions published in leading international peer-reviewed journals and his presentations at national and international conferences. Dr. Ranasinghe is also passionate about medical education and holds a conjoint lecturer position with the University of Newcastle.

Dr. Ranasinghe's clinical interests span a wide range of areas, including diabetes care (including diabetes in pregnancy, perioperative and post-operative diabetes management), osteoporosis, electrolyte disorders, immunotherapy-related endocrinopathies, and general endocrinology.

He offers consultative services in Diabetes and Endocrinology. His practice is based at the Lake Macquarie Private Specialist Medical Centre and Hunter Diabetes Centre, where he provides high-quality care to patients.
