Mr. Yih-Horng Tham is a distinguished and award-winning Consultant Ophthalmologist. Graduating with honors from Liverpool University Medical School, he has achieved recognition for his expertise in Glaucoma, Cataract surgery, Ophthalmic Digital Systems, and Service Development.

His training journey has taken him through prestigious eye units including St Thomas' Hospital, Kings College Hospital, Sussex Eye Hospital, the National Hospital for Neurology & Neurosurgery at Queen Square, and Moorfields Eye Hospital, City Road. Notably, his pinnacle training experience occurred as the Senior Clinical Fellow in Glaucoma at Moorfields Eye Hospital, where he gained exposure to cutting-edge surgical techniques and the mechanics of exemplary healthcare models.

Mr. Tham is also known for his roles as the Lead for Glaucoma and Ophthalmic Informatics at East Sussex Hospital Trust. Under his guidance, the East Sussex Glaucoma Service witnessed remarkable innovation, including the introduction of new laser services, an award-nominated diagnostic hub, and the pioneering East Sussex Virtual Glaucoma Service. 

Having recently transitioned to Singleton Hospital Swansea, Mr. Tham continues to demonstrate his commitment to the enhancement of Glaucoma services. As the Lead for Glaucoma and Ophthalmology Informatics, he aims to replicate his successes in South Wales. 

With over 15 years of experience in the field, Mr. Yih-Horng Tham stands as an authority in glaucoma and cataract surgery, as well as general ophthalmology. His affiliation with renowned institutions and membership in The Royal College of Ophthalmologists attests to his dedication and contribution to advancing eye care.
