Dr Vimalendran Ratheesh is an experienced General Practitioner. He works as an NHS GP and has founded his own private online telemedicine clinic called DRGP which launched in August 2023.

He has conducted over 27,000 GP consultations as an NHS GP over the last 7 years. He now has over 330 verified review in 2023 from his patients.

He completed his medical degree at University College London in 2011 and has since gained experience across various medical disciplines.

He trained as a GP at East Sussex VTS at Conquest hospital, Eastbourne hospital and Churchwood medical practice.

Dr Ratheesh is currently working as a GP at High glades medical practice in St Leonard's, East Sussex.

Dr Ratheesh has worked as a GP in Hastings, Bexhill, Eastbourne, Croydon, Purley and Bromley but decided to settle in Hastings where he trained.

He was a co-opted member of the Local Medical Committee (LMC) for East Sussex.

He also worked for the Clinical Commissioning group in Hastings and Rothers on 3 projects. The first was in Medicines Management, then as an advisor for workforce planning and recruitment. His last role for the CCG was as Digital support in Primary care, helping to implement new digital technology in East Sussex primary care services.

He is still an assessor for the NHS innovation accelerator programme, helping to appoint fellows and innovations that will have a positive impact on the future technologies used in the NHS. He has a keen interest in Digital health technology. He has had this role for over 3 years.

Dr Ratheesh has gained experience across various disciplines during his GP training including psychiatry, obstetrics and gynaecology, care of the elderly, paediatrics, emergency medicine, and cardiology.

He has been a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners Since 2016

Dr Ratheesh was one of the grass root campaigners in the first junior doctor strikes in 2016. He published the largest ever survey of doctors nationally in 2016 with over 4500 doctors responding to first his survey.

His survey data was featured in the Evening Standard, The metro, The guardian and Pulse and his data was used by the British medical association (BMA) during their campaign for better working conditions for junior doctors in 2016.

He then settled for a quieter life in Hastings and has built up an excellent reputation with his NHS patients in Hastings and St Leonards.

He has enjoys travelling around the world and is a keen painter and dancer.

During the pandemic Dr Ratheesh has painted many of his NHS colleague from High Glades medical practice. He entered the NHS Portrait for heroes campaign in 2021 and has painted portraits of 6 of his NHS colleagues. His artwork is still displayed in the windows of his NHS surgery at High Glades medical practice in Hastings.
