Dr Tom Blankenstein

I am a fellowship-trained musculoskeletal (MSK) radiologist based in Edinburgh, with MSK fellowship training completed in Leeds. I provide expert diagnostic imaging and image-guided interventions for a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, helping patients achieve accurate diagnoses and effective, minimally invasive treatment.

My practice encompasses MRI, ultrasound, CT and X-ray interpretation, alongside a comprehensive range of ultrasound, x-ray and CT guided procedures, including joint and soft tissue injections, aspiration, hydrodissection, and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy. I have advanced expertise in ultrasound-guided intervention and I'm committed to delivering precise, evidence-based care tailored to each patient's individual needs.

I work closely with orthopaedic surgeons, sports and exercise medicine physicians, rheumatologists, physiotherapists and other healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive the highest standard of multidisciplinary musculoskeletal care.
