Dr Thomas Evans

Dr Thomas Evans is an experienced Consultant Medical Oncologist specialising in the diagnosis, management, and treatment of complex adult cancers. Focused on delivering high-quality, evidence-based care, Dr Evans works closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure each patient receives a personalised treatment plan. His practice combines advanced medical science with empathy, offering reassurance and clarity to patients and their families throughout every stage of their care.

His main clinical interests lie in upper gastrointestinal malignancies, including oesophageal, gastric, pancreatic, biliary tract, and primary liver cancers, as well as melanoma. Dr Evans is deeply involved in experimental cancer medicine and translational research, specialising in early-phase clinical trials for novel anti-cancer agents. His clinical research focus encompasses molecular targeted therapies and innovative immunotherapies, bringing the latest therapeutic developments into patient care.

Dr Evans completed his medical training with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree and subsequently earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD) research degree. Demonstrating a continuing commitment to excellence in clinical practice, he is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP), a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh (FRCPE), and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (FRCPGlasg). He also contributes to national expert committees dedicated to evaluating novel anti-cancer drugs and advancing clinical trials.
