About Dr. Teresa Gomez Alemany
Dr Teresa Gomez Alemany is a highly experienced consultant paediatric and adult psychiatrist who offers video consultations and remote therapy.
She has expertise in a wide range of areas including ADHD, anxiety disorder, depression, suicidal behaviour, substance abuse, trauma, and bullying.
She gained her medical degree in 2013 from the University of Barcelona before obtaining a master's degree in mental health research, which enabled her to further understand the mechanisms that underlie mental health disorders following trauma in childhood. In 2018, she undertook a second master's degree in child and adolescent psychiatry.
Between 2016 and 2018, she was elected as a board member and chair of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Working Group in the European Federation of Psychiatry Trainees. She has also represented the European trainees for 2 years at the annual meeting of the European Union of Medical Specialists in the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Department.
Over the course of her career, Dr Alemany has been recognised internationally for her work; she was awarded the European Psychiatry Association Scholarship award in Poland in 2019, as well as the Donald J Cohen Fellowship Scholar from the International Association of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Allied Professionals in 2018. She also received the World Psychiatry Association Fellowship award in Thailand in 2021.
