Dr. Sofia Likhacheva

Dr Sofia Likhacheva is a Counselling Psychologist and Integrative Psychotherapist at Schoen Clinic Chelsea, offering a compassionate, trauma-informed approach rooted in psychoanalytic and attachment-based principles. Dr Likhacheva provides a safe, confidential space for clients to explore the impact of past events on their present relationships and sense of self. Through a collaborative therapeutic process, she helps clients gain insights into unconscious patterns, fostering deeper self-understanding and facilitating meaningful life changes.

With extensive experience across the NHS, private practices, and charitable organisations, Dr Likhacheva has worked with adults, adolescents, and children facing diverse challenges such as anxiety, depression, relational difficulties, trauma, and eating disorders. She specialises in a psychodynamic approach and is trained in several therapeutic modalities—including CBT, systemic, and person-centred therapy—which she tailors to each client’s unique needs. With a particular focus on relational issues, neurodivergence, and eating disorders, she offers therapy in both English and Russian.

Dr Likhacheva holds a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology, a Master's degree in Psychology and Psychotherapy, and is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council, the British Psychological Society, and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
