Mrs Smitha Rajagopalan

Mrs Smitha Rajagopalan is a Senior Audiologist with around 20 years of clinical experience across both the NHS and private healthcare sectors in the UK and abroad. She specialises in audiology services, hearing aid assessment and fitting, and ear care procedures including microsuction.

She is currently based within a primary care setting at Colchester Hospital, where she provides audiology and hearing healthcare services.

Mrs Rajagopalan completed her Bachelor’s degree in Speech, Language & Hearing Sciences (BSLHS) in 2003 at Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute, followed by a Master’s degree in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology (MASLP) from the University of Mumbai in 2005. She later obtained specialist ear care and microsuction certification in the UK in 2019 through the Ear Care Academy at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.

She holds professional registration and membership with several UK regulatory and professional bodies, including the Health and Care Professions Council, the British Society of Hearing Aid Audiologists, the Academy for Healthcare Science, and the British Audiology Association.

Alongside her NHS work, she also practices privately at Knapton House Multispeciality Clinic in Ipswich, where she provides hearing assessments, hearing aid services, and microsuction care.
