Dr. Siu Lun Chan is a passionate and experienced practitioner of Chinese Medicine, dedicated to improving the well-being of his patients. His interest in Chinese Medicine sparked from a young age when he benefited greatly from its healing properties, and that motivated him to pursue it as a career.

He graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Chinese Medicine from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2008, where he gained a comprehensive understanding of traditional Chinese medicinal practices. Dr. Chan further honed his skills during a 2-year placement at the Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine in mainland China, where he delved into advanced Chinese Medicine techniques alongside Western medical diagnostics. His commitment to knowledge and specialisation led him to pursue a Master of Science degree in Stroke and Clinical Neuroscience at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, which he completed in 2012.

With 15 years of experience as a practitioner, Dr. Chan has had a diverse and enriching journey in the field. He started as a junior doctor at a Tung Wah hospital in Hong Kong, where he assisted senior TCM practitioners and prescribed Chinese herbal medicine to patients. His tenure at Pok Oi Hospital in Hong Kong allowed him to diagnose and treat patients using acupuncture and Chinese herbal prescriptions. Dr. Chan also took on management responsibilities, ensuring the clinic's smooth functioning and reaching out to the community through health events.

Dr. Chan has developed expertise in treating various types of pain, such as musculoskeletal injuries and nerve pain, as well as respiratory conditions like asthma, hay fever, and COPD. He has also made a significant impact in oncology treatments.

In 2023, Dr. Chan settled in the UK to join AcuMedic, continuing his journey of helping patients through Chinese Medicine. He is enthusiastic about showcasing the broader applications of acupuncture and Chinese herbs, aiming to introduce Western patients to the potential of Chinese Medicine in stroke recovery, asthma management, and even oncology.

In his practice, Dr. Chan emphasises patient education, providing clear explanations of acupuncture and herbal treatments to his Western patients. He uses simple examples from nature to explain Chinese Medicine theory and ensures that his patients understand the clinical evidence supporting his treatments in Western medical terms.
