Sinead Delaney is an experienced Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist at Pure Sports Medicine Canary Wharf with expertise in Sports Rehabilitation. Graduating as a Physiotherapist from the University of Southampton in 2009, Sinead continued her academic journey, earning an Advanced Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Masters Degree from King’s College London in 2014.
Since 2014, Sinead has been a valuable member of Pure Sports Medicine, specialising in shoulder care. She is a member of the Musculoskeletal Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (MACP) and has been on the Professional Development Committee for the MACP since 2014.
Sinead is not only a practitioner but also a researcher. She published her first research piece in 2010, focusing on assessing the contractility of the quadriceps muscle, which she presented at the European Physiology Society Conference in 2009. Her contribution to the field was recognised with a nomination for a young physiologist award at the same conference. In 2015, she presented her research on the effect of isometric shoulder exercises on the subacromial space at the World Confederation of Physical Therapy international conference.
Alongside her clinical work, Sinead has been a Guest Lecturer and Examiner at Queen Mary’s University London since 2015. She also peer reviewed evidenced-based research papers for Musculoskeletal Science and Practice.
