Dr. Sheena Raja

Dr Sheena Raja is a General Practitioner and Health Assessment Doctor in Edinburgh and the Lothians with over 12 years of experience as a doctor. Her clinical background includes working as a GP in Scotland and England, alongside additional experience gained in Dubai.

Dr Raja graduated from the University of Nottingham with an intercalated BMedSci (Hons) and a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (BMBS). She became a Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners in 2016. Her postgraduate experience has included roles in psychiatry, orthopaedics, paediatrics and cardiology, contributing to a broad foundation across different areas of medicine.

She has a particular interest in lifestyle medicine and preventative healthcare, working collaboratively with patients to support their physical and mental health and encourage the prevention and early recognition of disease. Dr Raja also has a particular interest in mental health. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she worked as a GP within the National Covid Response Team, managing both initial COVID-related concerns and longer-term consequences.

Dr Raja serves as a Medical Tribunal Member within the Medical Practitioner Tribunal Service. She takes a collaborative approach to consultations, allowing time to explore symptoms and concerns before developing an appropriate management and treatment plan with each patient.
