Dr. Serge Engamba

Dr Serge Engamba is a General Practitioner based in Norwich and a recognised leader in academic primary care and clinical research in the UK. He graduated with a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the University of Yaoundé I in 2006 before completing a Master of Public Health at Swansea University in 2011. Alongside this he is a Fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners (FRCGP).

Alongside his clinical practice, Dr Engamba serves as a General Practice Commercial Research Fellow at the University of Exeter, where he works to strengthen collaboration between general practitioners and key research partners. He also holds honorary academic appointments as a Clinical Research Fellow at the University of Birmingham and Lecturer at St Leonard Research Practice in Exeter.

An active researcher, Dr Engamba has served as Chief Investigator on studies focused on hypertension and metabolic disease. His research interests include continuity of care, healthcare systems improvement, epidemiology, clinical trials, and building research capacity within primary care.

As Co-Chair of the Primary Care Academic CollaboraTive (PACT), Dr Engamba is committed to mentoring and supporting early- and mid-career academic clinicians across the UK, helping to foster the next generation of primary care researchers and academic leaders.
