Dr. Saumya Sharma

Dr Saumya Sharma is a highly skilled dental surgeon with over 16 years of experience in Oral Surgery, Periodontology and Dental Implantology. She completed her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) with Honours in 2004, followed by a Master’s Degree in Periodontology and Oral Implantology in 2008. During her postgraduate studies, she also achieved membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (MFDS RCPS Glas.).

Since moving to the United Kingdom in 2010, Dr Sharma has worked extensively in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS) across several renowned hospitals, including Peterborough, Luton, and Cambridge, where she gained significant surgical experience managing complex oral and periodontal conditions.

At The Ackerman Clinic, Dr Sharma offers a comprehensive range of periodontal, implant, and oral surgical treatments, combining precision with a strong focus on patient comfort. Her clinical expertise includes non-surgical and surgical periodontal therapy, laser-assisted periodontal treatments, and advanced dental implant placement.

Passionate about education, Dr Sharma regularly lectures on professional platforms such as Dentinal Tubules and hosts clinical study clubs to share her knowledge and experience.
