About Mr Richard Soper
Mr Richard Soper is a qualified auricular acupuncturist, PRP Platelet Rich Plasma and CEO of Daith Medical Ltd in West Sussex and Harley Street London. He is a specialist in the practice and research of vagus nerve stimulation (VNS) and holds qualifications from the London College of Auricular Acupuncture and The Homewood School of Reflexology As well a Aesthetic and PRP qualifications. He also holds professional memberships with the Microsystems Acupuncture Society and The Complementary Medical Association.
Daith Medical Ltd specialises in holistic therapy that stimulates the vagus nerve (fight or flight nerve), helping with ailments such as anxiety, migraines, bi-polar, depression, tinnitus and dysphagia, among others. Mr Soper works alongside his team to provide comprehensive and successful results.
Mr Soper began piercing after enrolling on a piercing course at the International School of Body Piercing in 1997. He is fully insured to perform Daith Piercing as a complimentary medical procedure and has specialised in Daith Piercing and auricular acupuncture for migraines and associated disorders since 2008. Mr Soper pioneered a method of piercing using a pre-testing technique. Data from this technique has been used by doctors across the UK to help their research in the field of complementary medicine. I would highly recommend. I’ve seen many doctors to try and find a solution for my random headaches and migraines. None of them really helped. Doctor started our session by asking a lot of questions, some expected and some not so much. He was very thorough and interested in the root cause. I learned more in one session than I did so far with all other doctors. Finding the nerve and piercing process was very quick. I didn’t have one of my headaches at the time so I didn’t feel huge relief, but my head definitely felt better. I got intructions about all that I need to do for aftercare as well as some other medical issues that I need to fix. It is really nice to actually have someone properly listen to you and offer real help.
We saw Mr Soper for my daughter, who experience lots of headaches & migraines. His explanation was incredible and not only did he give her the daith piercings in both ears, he gave her exercises to help with neck and posture issues. We would highly recommend. So far so good with the headaches.
Richard explained everything to me. From the reason that I could be having my migraines to exercises to help my posture and how the piercings can help. Was a very good experience and would recommend having these done. I had a migraine starting this morning and the pressure in my head relaxed during the acupuncture.
Really didn’t know what to expect, especially didn’t expect to talk about how bad my posture is! Had it done yesterday morning and had a brilliant nights sleep, cut the grass and my head didn’t hurt! (Long story, but brilliant news) Feel so much better and this only being 24 hours after the piecing!
Excellent communication and explanation of the reason for migraines and the medical terminology was broken down in a way we could understand
Richard was very knowledgable and explained everything in detail. The piercing itself was quick. Felt instant relief from the acupressure needles. Would highly recommend
