Dr Bhattacharyya recently carried out surgery on my left knee involving PCL reconstruction with an allograft and repair on my medial ligament at Ross Hall Hospital in Glasgow. His initial assessment and advice of my injury was thorough, easy to understand, and really helped me feel prepared and confident going into the procedure. Everything about the surgery and procedure he was undertaking was explained clearly, including what to expect and how to manage the days leading up to surgery. The surgery itself went well with no complications. Post-op, the guidance and reassurance I have received so far has been excellent. The explanations about recovery, mobility, and rehabilitation were practical and supportive, which made a big difference in helping me navigate the early stages of recovery. I’m three months post surgery, the wound has healed very well and the knee is recovering great. My mobility is continuing to improve and I’m very pleased with how things have went. I’d like to thank Dr Bhattacharyya for the high level of care, professionalism, and expertise and that has made what could have been a stressful experience much easier.

I came to Rahul with a knee injury I'd sustained on a skiing trip in March. He was able to see the seriousness of it immediately & quickly ordered an MRI. Following diagnosis of a torn ACL & PLC he planned in the required surgery. In the run up to and on the day of surgery he kept me up-to-date with what was going to be done & worked closely with my physio. The rebuilding work he carried out on the ligaments has been very successful - months on the knee is incredibly stable with no pain, no swelling & full range of motion. I had never heard experienced any issues with my heath up until my meniscus and ACL injury due to this I was apprehensive about the situation. This was my first injury which required surgery and being informed about this was a shock to myself however I was given clear information regarding the injury and how the surgery would effect my life which allowed me to plan around my injury both from a professional standpoint and with family life. The support received from all medical staff within DR Bhattacharyya’s team was reassuring and allowed me to focus on my recovery which made the whole experience as easy and straightforward as possible.

I recently had a partial knee replacement as advised by my consultant rather than a full knee replacement. At first I was apprehensive about only receiving a partial, however with the reassurance and guidance of Dr Bhattacharyya I opted for this option. On reflection I am glad to have only had the partial as I have had a great recovery experience and back to full mobility and movement within 6 weeks post op. My wound has healed nicely and I am delighted with all my follow up. With his expertise and good bed side manner I have overall had a very positive experience.

Rahul provided excellent personalised diagnosis and surgery. We discussed desired outcomes from surgery and 5 weeks post surgery the outcomes are being achieved. I am delighted with the key hole surgery on my knee and the results have been transformational . I have gone from being barely able to walk to starting golfing again. Rahul described what was going to be done in a very understandable way . Rahul also personally contacted my physio to make sure physio work was aligned to the desired outcomes .
