Dr. Priti Acharya

Dr Priti Acharya is a specialist orthodontist at Happy Kids Dental Chelsea. She has also been a consultant in orthodontics at the UCLH Eastman Dental Hospital since 2013, where she sees patients of all ages, including anxious children. Her specialism is in the treatment of patients with complex dental needs that require multi-specialist treatment, particularly cases of hypodontia (developmental absence of teeth). She also has expertise in removable, functional, and fixed ceramic braces, Invisalign, and lingual appliances.

Dr Acharya graduated with honours from Guy's, Kings & St. Thomas Dental Institute in 2002. During her time there, she received the prestigious Newland Pedley Medal for Restorative Dentistry and the Jelf Medal for the best all-arounder dental student. Following this, she worked as a House Officer at Guys' Hospital and the West Kent Community Dental Service, where she gained expertise in all areas of dentistry.

Dr Acharya then worked at the Lupus Street Dental Practice while completing further orthodontic training at the Eastman Dental Hospital. In 2010, she became an orthodontic specialist and was awarded the 3M Unitek Prize for the best overall orthodontic student. Following this, Dr Acharya spent two years training at the Eastman Dental Hospital and Kingston Hospital, handling complex multi-disciplinary cases, and she received her Orthodontic Fellowship in 2012.
