About Dr. Pratibha Nirodi

Dr Pratibha Nirodi is a Consultant Psychiatrist with over 25 years of NHS experience, specialising in the diagnosis and management of psychiatric and neurodegenerative conditions across the adult age spectrum. She has particular expertise in supporting older adults with dementia and functional disorders, as well as younger adults with ADHD, complex trauma, and mood or anxiety disorders.

She is qualified RTT clinical hypnotherapist. She works integratively to treat clients.

A graduate of Queen’s University Belfast, Dr Nirodi went on to complete postgraduate training in Old Age Medicine and Mental Health. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and brings additional expertise in therapeutic approaches including biofeedback (HeartMath) and Rapid Transformational psychotherapy (RTT), which blends CBT, hypnotherapy and NLP techniques to address entrenched emotional patterns and limiting beliefs.

RTT helps clients identify root cause of their emotional and mental health problems and changes long held negative belief systems using the science of neuroplasticity and can tranform behaviours and self concepts for the better.

How RTT Works

The therapy is structured around a three-step process:

  1. Identification:
You are guided into a relaxed state of hypnosis to directly access your
subconscious mind. This heightened state of focus helps you uncover the
root events, past traumas, or limiting beliefs that caused your current
        issue
  2. Reprogramming:
Once the root cause is understood, the therapist helps you look at these
past experiences from a new, objective perspective. You then work on
reframing and overwriting outdated, negative beliefs.
  3. Transformation:
The therapist uses positive, empowering suggestions to solidify new,
healthier neural pathways and thought patterns.

What It Helps With

RTT is frequently used to help break free from:

  • Anxiety
        and Stress
  • Self-esteem
issues and a lack of confidence
  • Fears,
        phobias, and traumas
  • Addictions
and bad habits (e.g., emotional eating, smoking, procrastination)

The 21-Day Reinforcement

A signature component of RTT is a personalized
transformational audio recording. Clients typically listen to this 15-minute
recording daily for 21 days following the session, which helps reinforce the
new beliefs and rewire the brain for sustainable change based on the science of
neuroplasticity.

Dr Nirodi’s clinical practice encompasses comprehensive diagnostic assessments, medico-legal capacity evaluations, and expert input to the Court of Protection. She is committed to delivering care that combines medical, psychological, and holistic strategies, enabling patients to build effective self-recovery tools alongside evidence-based treatment.

Currently, she practises with face to face appointments privately at Kingsbridge Private Hospital Belfast. She is able to do zoom consults for Onebright Mental Health, and has her own private video assessments. Alongside  this, she works as a consultant in liaison old age psychiatry with the SE HSE Trust Belfast. Her research has been published in peer-reviewed journals and presented internationally.
