About Dr. Pratibha Nirodi

Dr Pratibha Nirodi is a Consultant Psychiatrist with over 25 years of NHS experience, specialising in the diagnosis and management of psychiatric and neurodegenerative conditions across the adult age spectrum. She has particular expertise in supporting older adults with dementia and functional disorders, as well as younger adults with ADHD, complex trauma, and mood or anxiety disorders.

A graduate of Queen’s University Belfast, Dr Nirodi went on to complete postgraduate training in Old Age Medicine and Mental Health. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and brings additional expertise in therapeutic approaches including biofeedback (HeartMath) and Rapid Transformational psychotherapy (RTT), which blends CBT, hypnotherapy and NLP techniques to address entrenched emotional patterns and limiting beliefs. RTT helps clients identify root cause of their emotional and mental health problems and changes long held negative belief systems using the science of neuroplasticity and can tranform behaviours and self concepts for the better.

Dr Nirodi’s clinical practice encompasses comprehensive diagnostic assessments, medico-legal capacity evaluations, and expert input to the Court of Protection. She is committed to delivering care that combines medical, psychological, and holistic strategies, enabling patients to build effective self-recovery tools alongside evidence-based treatment.

Currently, she practises fwith face to face appointments privately at Kingsbridge Private Hospital Belfast. She is able to do zoom consults for Onebright Mental Health, and has her own private video assessments. Alongside  this, she works as a consultant in liaison old age psychiatry with the SE HSE Trust Belfast. Her research has been published in peer-reviewed journals and presented internationally.

Dr Pratibha Nirodi graduated with an MB BCh BAO from Queen’s University Belfast in 1991 and went on to earn a Diploma in Old Age Medicine in 1994. She became a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2006 and was later awarded Fellowship of the College in 2015.

Dr Nirodi was her lovely self as per usual and was full of positive words of encouragement about the progress i have made. Which is always appreciated Having a dr who cares about your well-being and encourages you to a better, more manageable life makes all the difference when diagnosed with adult adhd. The changes that have happened in my life since being diagnosed are hard to believe. I am so grateful.
