Dr. Pippa Wood

Dr Pippa Wood is a Psychologist based in West London. She practices an integrative approach using both existential and humanistic frameworks, alongside various techniques such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Compassion-focussed Therapy (CFT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). With her range of techniques, she is able to tailor her practice to meet the needs of each individual she works with. Her style is warm, compassionate and calm, and she works collaboratively with her clients in order to meet their goals of therapy.

Dr Wood works with those over 16 years old and is able to help individuals work through challenges such as anxiety, depression, body image and eating concerns, relationship issues, burnout and perfectionism, and challenges with emotional regulation. She has additional training in disordered eating and she collaborates with multi-disciplinary teams in order to assess patients from a psychological perspective before having bariatric surgery. She has additional experience in women’s health and is passionate about providing neurodivergent-affirming therapy as well. 

Dr Wood is a dual-registered Counselling Psychologist in both the UK and Australia. She graduated in 2013 with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from City St George’s, before completing her PhD in 2019 at Leeds Beckett University. She completed her professional training in Australia, and her experience living and practicing internationally gives her unique insight into how life experiences and cultural factors can affect wellbeing.
