Mr Paul Williams

Mr Paul Williams is a distinguished Consultant Interventional Cardiologist who delivers compassionate, comprehensive heart care to patients with complex cardiac conditions. Dedicated to upholding the highest standards of clinical excellence, he emphasises accurate diagnosis, empathetic communication, and tailored treatment strategies. His practice focuses on reassuring patients while managing acute and chronic cardiovascular disorders with precision.

Specialising in advanced interventional cardiac procedures, Mr Williams focuses on percutaneous coronary intervention and high-resolution intracoronary imaging techniques, including optical coherence tomography. In addition, his clinical expertise encompasses modern structural heart interventions, such as transcatheter aortic valve implantation and transcatheter edge-to-edge repair for complex valve regurgitation. These minimally invasive treatments enable patients to achieve optimal cardiovascular outcomes with reduced recovery times.

Mr Williams completed his academic medical education at Oxford University, graduating with an Honours Master of Arts in Physiological Sciences in 1996 and a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery in 1999. He subsequently completed higher postgraduate research at the University of Manchester, earning a Master of Medicine degree in 2011 for his thesis on gene therapy-coated coronary stents. His training comprises specialist cardiology training alongside advanced clinical fellowships in interventional and structural cardiology. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, attained in 2003, and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of London, awarded in 2017.
