About Dr. Omer Abdalla

Following completion of his Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT), Mr Abdalla undertook a highly competitive post-CCT fellowship in Robotic Surgery at Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, gaining extensive experience in complex robotic procedures across uro-oncology and reconstructive practice. His higher speciality training was completed across several major teaching hospitals within the Northwest of England, where he progressed through senior urology training years and developed a strong foundation in both elective and emergency urological care, including procedures for kidney stones, bladder conditions, prostate surgeries, and peno-scrotal conditions.

Mr Abdalla holds the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Urology (FRCS Urol) and previously achieved Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS). He also completed a Master’s degree in Minimal Invasive Urology with Distinction at Canterbury Christ Church University. Dr Abdalla and the team of anaesthetists were first class. They all put me at ease and I felt confident that I was getting a first rate service. Once the operation was complete, the aftercare was good. However the apparent lack of staff on the ward meant many times other patients pressed their buttons and had to wait too long for staff to assist. Discharge was chaotic and was over long.

Dr. Abdalla gave myself and my wife an overview of my recent surgery and results. He also advised us on possible urinary and erection problems during my recovery. He covered what to expect in the upcoming months. I thought he was very thorough and gave us easy to understand explanations.

Clinical Debate: Robotic Surgery vs Radiotherapy in T3 prostate cancer | Omer Abdalla

I recently had the pleasure of participating in a clinical debate at our Annual Cancer Network Meeting on the management of T3 prostate cancer. I presented the surgical perspective, and the discussion reinforced the importance of a multimodal approach to managing locally advanced disease. The ongoing SPCG-15 trial is anticipated to provide important evidence to help guide future treatment decisions and optimise patient care. Exchanging perspectives with my oncology peers is always a highlight. #ProstateCancer #UroOncology #CancerResearch #MDT #Southend_Urology

Pleased to have contributed to the uro-oncology section of this textbook. Intravesical chemotherapy plays an integral role in bladder cancer management, and this chapter explores the pharmacokinetics behind these therapies. Grateful for the opportunity to contribute to a resource that supports clinicians and advances understanding in this important field.https://https://lnkd.in/e3B6tR4f #Pharmacology_In_Urology #Urology #Uro_Oncology #Bladder_Cancer #Medical_Education #FRCS Sotonye Tolofari
