Dr. Olympia Tsilochristou

Dr Olympia Tsilochristou is a Consultant Allergist at the UK's largest Department of Allergy at Guy's and St Thomas' Foundation Trust in London. She has 15 years of expertise in the field of allergy. In her private practice she is a provider of all major private insurers.

Dr Tsilochristou graduated from medical school in 2005 in Greece and completed advanced specialty training in allergy in 2014. She earned her PhD in allergic rhinitis, with an emphasis on local allergic rhinitis, a kind of allergic rhinitis that may go undiagnosed due to negative skin prick and blood testing for respiratory allergens. She then worked for a year as a researcher in molecular allergology at Charite University in Berlin, Germany, before joining the research teams led by Professors Lack, du Toit, and Till at King's College London. During this time, she examined the links between food allergy and eczema and undertook clinical trials on peanut oral immunotherapy and a preclinical trial looking into vaccines against peanut, egg, and milk allergy. Her work was subsequently published in prestigious peer-reviewed allergy publications.

Dr Tsilochristou has extensive experience in allergic rhinitis and allergen immunotherapy for allergic rhinitis, and has co-authored the European Guidelines on Allergen Immunotherapy for Allergic Rhinitis. She is also one of two clinicians at Guy's Hospital who run the Food Allergy Clinic where she reviews adults with food allergies, including those who suffer from eczema, with the goal of identifying potential food triggers for their eczema.
