Miss Nishma Patel

Miss Nishma Patel is a consultant oral surgeon at Smile One Dental in Horsham. Her specialist interest is in the removal of impacted wisdom teeth, and she also performs a range of surgical procedures including dental extractions, apicectomy, cyst removal and soft tissue surgery. She also treats temporomandibular joint dysfunction and is qualified in intravenous sedation for the treatment of particularly anxious patients.

Miss Patel gained her dental qualifications from King's College London Dental School and has since dedicated her career to oral surgery. She undertook specialist oral surgery training at Guy's Dental Hospital before being awarded membership in oral surgery with the Royal College of Surgeons. Following this, she worked as a consultant at the renowned Eastman Dental Hospital.

She is also involved in the training of postgraduate dental trainees in oral surgery and is a member of the British Association of Oral Surgeons as well as the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Additionally, she has published her work in several peer-reviewed journals and has been invited to present her research on both a national and international level.
