Dr. Nina Sheffield

Dr Nina Sheffield, MD, BSc, is the CQC Responsible Individual and Director at rtwskin in Royal Tunbridge Wells, where she specialises in medical lasers and cosmetic injections. She has over 20 years of experience in the field of non-surgical aesthetics and is widely recognised for her technical expertise and patient-focused approach.

Born in Ukraine, Dr Sheffield grew up as the only child of two ENT surgeons, Professor Mihail Ovsyannikov and Dr Lidiya Kovalenko. She qualified and registered as a General Practitioner in Belarus before becoming a Specialist in Otolaryngology in Ukraine. She went on to serve as a Consultant Otolaryngologist for the Ukrainian Health Authority in Odessa for 11 years, as well as working with the Ukrainian Army.

Her interest in aesthetics was influenced early on by her father’s patients, who often requested plastic surgery. This interest developed into a passion for helping people improve not only their appearance and confidence but also their overall wellbeing. During the early 2000s, Dr Sheffield travelled extensively across Europe and the USA to study best practice in aesthetics.

In 2005, after further training in the latest non-surgical techniques, she founded rtwskin.
