Dr Nashwa Bryant

Dr Nashwa Bryant is an Associate Specialist in Integrated Sexual Health and Psychosexual Medicine, currently based in Wales in the NHS. She completed her medical degree at King Faisal University, Saudi Arabia, in 1990 before relocating to the UK. Dr Bryant holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education from the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health and a Diploma of the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health (DFSRH). She also holds certifications in intrauterine contraception and subdermal contraceptive implants.

In her role Dr Bryant oversees the delivery of all sexual health services for both women and men, excluding male and female sterilisation. She has expertise in the management of complex contraception issues, including the handling of lost IUD/IUS threads, difficult endo-cervical polyp removals, and deep/difficult implant removals. She also is involved in the management of sexually transmitted diseases, including the care of uncomplicated HIV patients and is a skilled psychosexual counsellor.

Alongside her clinical work, Dr Bryant actively contributes to the improvement of guidelines, policies, and the introduction of new drugs within the service. She is deeply involved in training and updating staff, both in-house and spanning primary and secondary care. Dr Bryant also serves as a Clinical & Educational Supervisor for the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health (FSRH) and the Welsh Deanery. She is a Member of the Institute of Psychosexual Medicine and is a Chairperson of the Welsh Association of Sexual and Contraceptive Health.
