Dr Nada Al-Sakini

Dr Nada Al-Sakini is a highly accomplished Consultant Cardiologist who specialises in adult congenital heart disease (ACHD) and advanced cardiac imaging. With a patient-centred approach, she provides expert care for individuals living with complex congenital heart conditions. Dr Al-Sakini is dedicated to delivering precise diagnoses and tailored management plans, ensuring her patients receive the highest standard of cardiovascular care. Her clinical practice focuses on the comprehensive assessment and long-term management of congenital heart defects in adults.

As a Specialist in non-invasive cardiac imaging, Dr Al-Sakini possesses advanced expertise in echocardiography, including transoesophageal echocardiography. She utilises these state-of-the-art diagnostic tools to evaluate complex structural heart issues, monitor disease progression, and guide therapeutic interventions. Her clinical interests also encompass the management of heart failure, valvular heart disease, and the transition of care for young adults with congenital heart conditions. Through her detailed imaging work, she plays a pivotal role in multi-disciplinary teams, helping to plan and execute complex cardiac procedures.

Dr Al-Sakini obtained her primary medical qualification (MB ChB) and subsequently earned a PhD in Cardiovascular Sciences from St. George's University of London. She completed her comprehensive specialty training in General Cardiology in the United Kingdom, followed by highly specialised subspecialty training in Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD) through a prestigious London-based rotation. To further refine her skills, she completed a post-training fellowship in advanced echocardiographic imaging. Dr Al-Sakini was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP UK) in 2023 and achieved the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI) Adult Transoesophageal Echocardiography Certification in 2024. Alongside her clinical work, she serves as an Honorary Associate Clinical Professor, contributing actively to medical education, clinical research, and the training of future Cardiologists.
