Mr Roland Russell is a Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon currently working at the private practise Springfield Hospital, in Essex and his current NHS base is Broomfield Hospital, in Chelmsford which is part of Mid Essex Hospital Services NHS Trust. His areas of specialism are the foot and ankle and his areas of interest include bunions, foot pain, ankle pain, heel pain, planter fasciitis, big toe pain and arthritis.
Mr Russell graduated from University of London in 1994 with Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degrees. In 2000 he became a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and in 2007 he also attained a fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery. He completed training on the North West Thames Rotation for orthopaedics and trauma and was included on the specialist register in 2009.
Mr Russel is also a member of the scientific committee of the British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society and is a journal reviewer for the Foot and Ankle Journal in 2011.
