I am a UKCP Registered Psychotherapist and has been in clinical practice since 2001. I hold an Advanced Post-Graduate Diploma in Psychotherapy including Psychopathology and have undertaken further training in Neuro-linguistic Psychotherapy, CBT. DBT, and EMDR. I see clients in my consulting room on Regent Street, London but also offer therapy sessions via video calling and messaging, catering for clients who are travelling or overseas.
I incorporate a range of therapeutic methods and approaches into my Clinical Practice including Cognitive Behavioural therapy (CBT); Dialectical Behavioural therapy, Acceptance-based therapy, Neurolinguistic therapy, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Mindfulness. I place a strong emphasis on my continual professional development and to that end undertake further training every year to keep up to date on clinical advances.
However whilst theoretical principles are useful they do not wholeheartedly govern my work. Successful therapy is a unique collaboration between client and therapist. I am supportive, empathic, non-shaming, kindly challenging and optimistic in my work. I have seen hundreds of people achieve deep, powerful changes in their lives over the years.
I always suggest we speak before we first meet so can we outline what you need and how I might help you.

Mark has a calm and approachable way about him that made me feel at ease. Over time it was like I was visiting a friend. The therapy sessions were thought-provoking, science-backed and gave me the ability and confidence to start questioning my thoughts and behaviours and to gradually amend them to benefit my overall outlook. Mark worked holistically with me and I felt listened to, guided and comfortably led into my new ways and I have left therapy for now knowing I can return if I ever want to or feel the need to and I feel empowered with a new toolkit to face each day and any issues that come my way.
I have had 15 therapy sessions with Mark regarding my anxiety and OCDs. Mark is very professional and a fantastic therapist. He is very good at listening and adapting the therapy path to his patients. I recommend Mark to anyone looking for a therapy.
I can really recommend Mark. Most of our sessions were online, although when I was in London I met him for a few face-to-face sessions too (long before the lockdown). I had a difficult childhood and have seen many therapists over the years. Mark is the first person I recommend to anyone. He has a caring and helpful attitude and is really insightful. I felt he really helped me see what I needed to see. I was keen to find practical long-term solutions, and Mark did not make me talk about my childhood (which was something I really did not want to do all over again) - instead he helped me discover certain ways of thinking I had which were not helpful for me. I feel lucky to have found such a helpful therapist. Mark is quick thinking and instead of getting caught up in the "story" of whatever I was telling him, he would be able to spot patterns or ask a question which made really open my eyes to something which had never occurred to me. He would not tell me what to think or what to do, but his questions were always spot on. Mark, I will be forever very grateful - thank you for all your help.
Excellent! I found Mark through the Aviva Preferred Providers list and he has been incredibly helpful. I sought help for stress and anxiety which were getting unmanageable and starting to ruin my life. He is professional, knowledgeable and has absolutely helped me reduce my anxiety levels. After 11 sessions I am in a much, much better place and have a different outlook.
Following a GP referral for Anxiety and Depression Mark has helped me immensely. We have worked together now for 3 months and in that time my symptoms have reduced significantly. I feel like myself again and am doing much better in Covid lockdown than I would have done without therapy! I found some of the practical elements especially beneficial. I definitely recommend working with Mark.
Following a referral with a diagnosis of PTSD after a bad car accident I saw Mark for about 3 months. He has a warm and friendly style and explained things clearly. The work was challenging at times, however it has helped me tremendously. I am no longer having awful flashbacks and can do the things I used to do...I have also now driven again. A very positive experience.
I had a fantastic experience with Mark. Before I was referred by my GP I hadn't considered attending therapy - I'd always viewed it as something that other people did. But Mark was very patient and understanding and got me to a stage where I felt comfortable discussing my condition. I can honestly say that this therapy has changed my life significantly for the better, and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Mark to anyone.
Mark is an excellent therapist. He was able to help me get myself from a pretty dark place to somewhere far better. I have previously received CBT within the NHS, but it was of limited value for me and felt too rigid. My work with Mark felt far more human and flexible and I felt he got me and understood me. He is attentive, personable and professional.
I felt very anxious about approaching anyone with my issues as i felt they were too personal for someone to understand and help me. I took the leap to approach Mark and he handled my situation perfectly in my eyes. He took the time to understand and learn all the other characters that were invloved, made me feel at ease and took our time. I spent a few months seeing Mark and i can genuinely say i am in a much better place as a result.
Mark was very supportive and motivating. He helps guide through the problems and mechanisms to cope with them. Great therapist to work with.
Pleasant, educational and useful experience working with Mark.
Mark has an excellent manner and approach. He was very open and also challenging in the right way when I needed it. He really helped me at a very difficult time and got me back on the right path. I can’t recommend Mark highly enough
I suffered with depression when I was younger and then for about a year recently so decided to seek therapy rather than using Medication. Mark was recommended to me by another therapist. He has undoubtably been of great help to me, with kindness and a gentle sense of humour. He picks up seemingly small things but which are really helpful. My therapy has helped me to create different responses to difficult challenges. Previously I would spiral in my thoughts and felt I couldn’t get out. Now I can stop myself getting sucked under. It’s been incredibly beneficial.
Yesterday was my final session with Mark and I am very happy with the help I received. There was an emphasis on practical steps and changes that have helped me in every day situations. Therapy has not been an easy journey and there were times when the process was certainly challenging but it has absolutely been worth it. Mark is intuitive and skilled in his approach and was supportive of me throughout. I thoroughly recommend him.
I found my therapy with Mark to be constructive, kind and highly effective. He is calm, professional and has a sharp insight into the human psyche.
Mark is a Psychotherapy counsellor. I found the sessions very helpful. He's very knowledgable and thoughtful, and he helped me to clarify my thinking during a difficult time.
I have worked with Mark for many years. His sessions are always stimulating and challenging. I have become much more emotionally resourceful since becoming a client and can’t praise Mark highly enough.
I have recently finished some brief therapy for depression and anxiety with Mark following a GP referral. The process has been most helpful and enlightening and certainly effective in improving my mood and anxiety levels. The work was structured and practical and I left with skills that I didn’t have before. Mark is engaged, pays close attention and is skilled at seeing different angles to problems. He’s an excellent therapist.
Mark supported and guided me through complex ptsd, helping me to understand, process and develop tools to manage my childhood trauma. I was fragile and did not have a support system in place. I am also very stubborn! Mark absolutely understood and tailored his approach to what I needed and what I could cope with at the time. I felt incredibly safe and trusted him as he was able to be caring and empathetic whilst remaining entirely professional. I would recommend Mark to anyone - he is incredible and has helped and guided me to a much healthier and happier approach to my life.
Mark has been great. Very warm and comforting and patient. This has been my first experience of therapy and he's helped me notice and work on the parts of myself I want to improve.
I found Mark to be a knowledgeable, thoughtful therapist with a great bedside manner whose main focus was very clearly on providing me with the best possible care. Highly recommended.
During the time I have been seeing Mark I can absolutely say my symptoms of depression and anxiety have improved. He has been thoroughly professional, kind, understood me well and explained relevant concepts clearly. I can thoroughly recommend him.
Mark, thank you so much for helping me with my anxiety. Our work has had a far more profound benefit than I anticipated and I am very grateful. I will be recommending you. Thank you again.
Dear Mark, without a shadow of a doubt you have been one of the most significant persons that I have had present in my life. YOUR KINDNESS TRULY TOUCHED MY HEART.
The past year has been an incredible journey for me. I've hurt a lot and learnt a lot and a big part of that is down to you. Your commitment & belief in me has been incredible. Thank you for everything you have done. The sessions and everything in them will stay with me forever and have been life-changing.
My experience with Mark was a turning point for me in therapy as I felt understood and safe right from the start. I was given insight into how my reactions to highly stressful events had shaped my life, and along with this greater understanding I became able, gradually, to overcome repeated patterns of self-destructive behaviour. Crucially, through Mark's guidance, I developed a sense of worth as human being, which is testament to his compassionate and empathetic approach.
I came to Mark when I was going through a number of traumatic experiences that had me in a state of overwhelm. He was able to quickly get me back in to focus and out of my tailspin, which I needed help with in almost every session. He always has his eye on the most effective issue to target in each session, and made sure I left each meeting feeing more calm and supported. He is a compassionate listener, and alerted me to ways I harmed myself through the self talk I used. He also was firm with me when I needed it. It made me trust his feedback because it showed me his ability to remain objective. He also presented himself as a very relatable person and reminded me that we all go through hard times and we all make mistakes. I highly recommend him, especially to those who are ready and interested in getting to the root of things quickly. He is a courageous, empathetic therapist and an all-around great human being.
I have been seeing Mark now for ten weeks and my Social Anxiety has reduced dramatically in that time. He has helped me understand the causes and to change my reactions to social situations. His explanations have been clear and insightful and questioning has made me think differently about a number of things - not just anxiety. His office is quiet and relaxing and the set up is well run and professional.
Dear Mark, thank you so much for your help recently. You have helped me get through an intensely difficult period in my life with kindness, clarity and understanding. As you know my anxiety was awful before I came along in March... Thankfully that is now a memory. I now have the tools I need for the future and for that I cannot express fully my gratitude. Thank you so much.
