Mr Vivek Gupta is a Consultant General Surgeon & Colorectal Surgeon with over 20 years of experience in the field. Vivek specialises in laparoscopic bowel surgery, gallbladder surgery, IBS, bowel problems and rectal bleeding. He practices privately at the Ramsay Rivers Hospital and the One Hatfield Hospital.

Vivek qualified as a doctor in 1999, at Cardiff University and went on to complete his training in Wales and the West midlands. He was granted laparoscopic colorectal fellowship due to his high motivation and excellent skillset, during which he gained a wide breadth of knowledge on laparoscopic techniques. After this, he was appointed Consultant at the East & North Hertfordshire trust and was later appointed Clinical Governance Lead. Mr. Gupta is active in the teaching community and trains postgraduate students at Cambridge University and University College London Hospitals.
