At the initial consultation Mr Hamilton listened attentively and took time to explain the condition, the procedure, the operation and the expected outcome. As a result I, an elderly anxious patient, had the confidence to proceed with the operation. The outcome of the operation has been a great success. Mr Hamilton was very understanding of myself as an individual. Although a knee replacement is now considered a routine operation my questions and queries were given the explanations and time that I needed to fully understand the options available to myself and the implications of each. The discussions we had resulted in being very comfortable on going ahead with a partial knee replacement. Following surgery I was extremely pleased with his input both to myself and the aftercare team involved in my recovery.
