I had an amazing experience , operation carried out very speedily , hardly any pain and everything explained to me at all times . I am now virtually pain free and able to carry on with life ,very grateful for the care I received , thank you
Kind considerate manner, very professional, nothing to be afraid of having this type of surgery.
Saw Simon to sign me off 12 months after shoulder reversal
Very pleased with everything, the nursing staff the administration and of course the anestatist and mr Fogerty.
Attended for a replacement shoulder operation as I had been experiencing pain through wear & tear & arthritis. I can't remember too much as the op was a year ago. However, I remember I had no issues & that the pain almost immediately disappeared. I returned to full fitness after rehab, & have enjoyed my return to training in the pool & gym. No issues to date.
Mr Fogerty was friendly and approachable from the start and, having read his previous reviews, I had every confidence in his professional expertise. My reverse shoulder replacement has been a great success. I am now pain free and have regained a good range of movement with the help of physiotherapy. I have just seen Mr Fogerty again for a final check up, although he did say he would be there for me if I had any problems with the shoulder in the future. Both he and I are very pleased with the results of the surgery. It has been a great pleasure to meet such a brilliant surgeon who also has a lovely friendly manner. This is always very much appreciated by patients. He is a shining example of a top class professional.
My final visit was much like any other. Prompt, professional and relaxing. Everything is so easy and the staff in all areas of the hospital are so freindly and helpful. It would be my only recommendation for were to be seen.
From the initial consultation through to my discharge I found that Mr. Fogerty was very approachable, reassuring and honest For example, from the initial consultation, that my pain could be sorted out but no guarantees of the amount of strength I would have as that would depend on my adherence to physio plus it can vary from person to person. Mr. Fogerty gave thorough explanations regarding the surgery for a reverse shoulder replacement and it was great to see the postop x-rays with yet more explanations about what I was seeing on screen. Mr Fogerty suggested I was able to take a photo of my x-rays, if I wanted and this was a nice thing as I’m able to show my family exactly what has been done. Everything seems to have been a complete success. However, once again, Mr Fogerty was very reassuring and said that if any future problems arose to get re-referred, I cannot recommend the service high enough and would like to take the opportunity to say a big thank you to Mr Fogerty and his team.
Simon and the team at Spire provided a wonderful experience from start to finish. He was always very polite, pragmatic and clear with me and really helped manage my expectations of my procedure and what I should expect after it.
