Mr Rajan Uppal

Mr Rajan Uppal, Consultant Plastic Surgeon, works in the Plastic Surgery unit in the Frimley NHS Trust and well as running two private practises in Windsor and London. He has a wealth of experience in complex facial surgery, as well as surgeries of the body and breasts.

Mr Uppal began his medical education at the Royal Free Hospital in London, qualifying in 1993. During this time he was awarded a prize in pharmacology. Mr Uppal has over 15 years of experience working in private practice. He has previously worked in teaching hospitals in London including St. George's, St Bartholomew's, Guy's and St Thomas's. He has also been made a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Plastic Surgery as a result of his hard work and wealth of experience. More recently, he was elected as a council member of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons. He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the International Society of Plastic Surgeons. 

He is one of the leading nose plastic surgeons in the UK and regularly lectures abroad in the field of surgery of the face to teach new surgeons modern techniques. He has worked with colleagues to develop microsurgery for the nose as well as ultrasonic and laser nose surgery.

He also undertakes breast reconstruction, which requires specific skills in microsurgery. He continues to contribute to medical education by being an examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons in which he supervises MRCS exams allowing junior surgeons to achieve their surgical qualifications.
