Mr Ken Mannan

Mr Ken Mannan is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with a specialist interest in hip and knee surgery. He sees private patients at Clifton Park Hospital and Nuffield Health York Hospital and holds an NHS consultant post at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, where he has worked since 2010. He previously served as Deputy Clinical Director for Trauma and Orthopaedics between 2014 and 2020.

Mr Mannan studied medicine at St Bartholomew's and The Royal London Hospital Medical School, graduating with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) after previously completing a Bachelor of Science (BSc). He completed his orthopaedic training in London, including a year at the Peripheral Nerve Injury Unit at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore, before undertaking a dedicated Hip and Knee Arthroplasty Fellowship at the Royal London Hospital. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Trauma and Orthopaedics and a member of the British Orthopaedic Association and the British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society.

His clinical practice focuses on hip and knee surgery, including primary and revision hip and knee replacement, lower limb arthroplasty, knee arthroscopy, cartilage reconstruction, chondroplasty, bone grafting and image-guided joint injections. He also manages hip and knee arthritis, sports injuries, lower limb trauma and peripheral nerve conditions. Alongside his clinical practice, Mr Mannan has an active interest in surgical education and training and was awarded the Train the Trainer qualification in 2013.
