Dr. Furtado was very professional in his conduct during the minor procedure. Clear with his instructions. Very careful and attentive. Local anaesthetic worked brilliantly. Good communication during the procedure to distract me from focusing too much on what he was doing. Would be helpful to have a hand mirror on hand, when discussing details and referencing parts of the body in question with Dr Furtado. Thank you for your work and the extra care taken.

I was referred to this doctor by my GP for an issue she was seriously worried about and said required further specialist investigation. This doctor didn't know why I was there leading me to believe he had not read my notes. My GP said that at this appointment the doctor would take swabs and perform further test to establish what was wrong but he only performned the same preliminary examinations that I had previously. This doctor made me feel like I wasn't being listened to.
I am sorry that you let you were not listened to . We do ask a history again to confirm the history . I am happy to offer a free face to face or a telephone consultation. Once again I am sorry you felt that way .

I think the surgery went well, but very disappointed I now have a huge scar instead of keyhole scars. Maybe this could have been avoided if I’d had a proper 3D scan or mri. And I was unaware of how independent I had to be for the aftercare. I didn’t know I had to give myself blood thinners and deal with my own dressing. I also felt I was released from hospital care too early and felt guilty for calling him with my worries about the horrendous pain and bleeding I was suffering 2 days after surgery as wasn't warned this would happen.
I am sorry that you fibroid had grown much bigger than expected and we could not give you a key hole surgery. Please note that instructions for post op blood thinners is given by the RMO or the Nursing Staff as per protocol . I am pleased that I was able to speak to you on 2-3 occasions at home post operatively and answer your queries . Looking forward to seeing you soon for your post op visit .

Dr Furtado was nice enough, but my consultation was SO quick, it was over in a flash. My Scan was promptly booked for only 10 days later which was brilliant but nothing much was said in the consultation about what the plan was or what his professional opinion was. It felt a little bit vague. Hoping for a better explanation when I go back next time
