Mr Edward Britton

Mr. Britton is a highly skilled specialist in hip and knee surgery, with expertise in a wide range of conditions and treatments. He completed his specialist training at the Royal London Hospital Orthopaedic rotation and obtained a BSc in Orthopaedic Sciences from UCL at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore.

In addition to his training, Mr. Britton has completed three specialist fellowships to further enhance his knowledge and skills. These include the prestigious Royal Melbourne fellowship, a high volume arthroplasty fellowship at St. Peters, Surrey, and a knee fellowship at Basingstoke with Professor Wilson, focusing on knee osteotomy techniques.

Mr. Britton's special interests lie in sports and joint-preserving techniques, including arthroscopic hip and knee surgery, knee osteotomy surgery, and primary and revision arthroplasty for the hip and knee. He is dedicated to providing comprehensive care for his patients, covering all aspects from regenerative solutions to soft tissue problems and joint replacement surgeries.

At Nuffield Health York Hospital, Mr. Britton performs various procedures, including hip replacement, knee replacement, knee arthroscopy, ACL repair, and MPFL reconstruction. His expertise extends to both hip and knee surgeries, with a particular focus on hip arthroplasty, arthroscopic hip surgery, femoroacetabular impingement surgery, labral repair and reconstruction, cartilage surgery, ligament reconstruction, patellofemoral instability, meniscal repair, reconstruction and transplantation, and knee osteotomy surgery.

Mr. Britton's academic achievements and commitment to research are evident through his publication of scientific papers on orthopaedics and his participation in national and international presentations. He is a committee member for the United Kingdom Knee Osteotomy Registry (UKKOR) and holds memberships with esteemed professional organisations, including the British Orthopaedic Association, the Royal College of Surgeons of England, the British Medical Association, the European Society of Sports Traumatology Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy, the British Association for Surgery of the Knee, and the British Hip Society.
