About Mr Deepak Gupta
Mr Deepak Gupta is an experienced consultant ENT surgeon based in Swindon with more than 20 years of professional expertise. Having completed his medical degree in 1982 in India, he continued his higher ENT surgical training and fellowships in India, the US and the UK. Following this, he relocated to the UK and became a consultant in 2000 and has been a consultant ENT surgeon at The Great Western Hospital, Swindon and the Ridgeway Hospital, Swindon since 2003.
Mr Gupta sees both children and adults for general ENT complaints but with sub-specialisation in rhinology (nasal and sinus problems), encompassing nasal allergies, blocked nose, nasal catarrh, smell issues, watery eye and facial pain, along with snoring and sleep apnoea.
Mr. Gupta is experienced in performing functional endoscopic sinus surgery, balloon sinuplasty and frontal sinus surgery as well as undertaking sleep studies. As a testament to his excellence, Mr Gupta has been in senior leadership positions, having served on the South West Senate and was the director of medical education for many years.
In addition to his other work, he is a passionate educator and is involved in training, the introduction of patient-friendly initiatives and clinical research. His successful work in research earned him the Best Article of the Year by the Journal of Laryngology & Otology (JLO) in 2011.
